
The station has a small office area which houses all the administration nescessary in running a modern Lifeboat.
There is also a larger area which serves as a changing room and crew kit store for dry suits, thermal undersuits, lifejackets and helmets.
A large chart table is used for chart work and associated training.
The RNLI consistently provides first class training. Here crew members along with visitors from Solent Coastguard, are pictured on a VHF DSC Radio Communications course. The course was taught by the RNLI Mobile Training Unit and held at Cowes Lifeboat Station over two weeks during January.
Regular crew training and exercises are held on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.
With the latest Atlantic Lifeboat on station it is essential that regular training takes place and that the crew are ready and able to use all the equipment to it's full potential for search and rescue purposes
