Man in Water Report Results in Lifeboat Call-Out

2nd August 2014

A report of a man in difficulty in the water off Cowes seafront led to the local RNLI inshore lifeboat being launched in the early hours of this morning.

The man, in his 20s, was found by the lifeboat off The Green and brought aboard by the crew. He was taken to Trinity Landing where he was transferred by ambulance to convey him to St Mary’s Hospital, although he appeared to have no physical injuries.

The lifeboat was launched at about 5 am and returned within an hour.
