Alasdair joined the crew in November 2010 when he tried to hang up his sea boots and retire from sailing. When not on the water, Alasdair assists in the sales and marketing of One Stop Sailing which he co runs with his wife and fellow crew member Heather. As well as being a crew member, Alasdair has helped raise a lot of money for the station by many means including the Great South Run and walking around the Island. This year, he did the London Marathon in aid of the RNLI. Away from the station, Alasdair still enjoys sailing and finds himself spending more time at sea working for sail trainings organisations. He passed out as a fully-fledged Lifeboat Helm on the 19th January 2015!
