 Welcome to the website of

Cowes Lifeboat Station.

We are the charity that saves lives at sea. This site is our way of thanking, informing and updating all of our supporters, whose generosity makes our work possible.

Cowes Lifeboat is one of the dedicated Search and Rescue (SAR) resources for The Solent, that covers the area between Yarmouth and Ryde; these are approximate bounds, dependent on tidal conditions and other SAR resources, Cowes Lifeboat has been deployed outside these bounds but its work is largely carried out well within them.

If you would like to see Sheena Louise launch, she would usually be seen rolling down the slipway at around 1915 on a Thursday evening. Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, we are not currently publicising our exercises, to avoid unnecessary gatherings. Please check back for future announcements.
